How do I find the best lingerie online? Without spending a fortune, and at some dodgey site?

§ October 14th, 2011 § Filed under General Comments Off

There’s alot of dodgey sites in the online space. Some sell products at ridiculouly low prices, and take your cash without sending you the product.
Others sell you low quality lingerie, or products that look nothing like the picture.

So, first things first, search the item you want. Sexy Lingerie, Lingerie, Corsets, gstrings. Then look at the search results. Ads at the top might appear, you can choose one fo those, or the same store might also appear a few results below the ads.
Click the first few results on the search page, and look at the home page for specials. It may say 40-50% off a range of lingerie items, or specify a certain category.

Finding bargains is basically searching around, browsing sites to see what price they are selling it as. 10-20% off may be a better price than 20-30% off at another site.

Check prices. Once you have found the site you want to buy from, you may want to check a few things on the site. One, make sure they have contact details. An address, phone numbher or email.  The site should have some product information to tell you a bit about a product.

Its not good practise to soley look at a picture. Product information, even from teh manufacturer should be displayed. It shouldnt be too salesly either. You have click on the product, you want to know more about the product.

An important factor is spelling. Sites, lingerie items, and product desriptions shouls have correct spelling. If they don’t, it propbaly an overseas site, and may be dodgey. Security on the site is important. When adding thing to the cart, the URL should change to https.

This notes a safe site. If the site simply shows http, may not be a secure shopping site.

So to find the good site, look at top ads and search results. Home pages of the sites will show discounts or promotions. Make sure the lingerie site is a reuptuable company, check contact details.

Make sure they provide product information, and the spelling is correct.

How to use online lingerie shopping carts

§ September 9th, 2011 § Filed under General Comments Off

I get questions all the time about how to use shopping carts online.

Shopping carts are designed differently. There are common shopping carts that some sites simply implement.

Some sites create there own shopping cart system. Reasons for this are resources, site structure and useability to name a few.

Some people think you can only purchase one item at a time, or you cant edit your selection, once you’ve added to your cart. For all lingerie shopping carts, you should be able to one, add more than one item to the shopping cart, and also, be able to edit your selection after adding to the cart. Either  deleting the selection, or amending quantity or other selections on the lingerie product.

There are a few ways you can select products to the shopping cart. You can select the product from the menu screen, where all other lingerie products are shown, or you can select the product to look at further details, and images, then add the product to cart.

Once you have selected products and all the details for the products, go to the shopping cart, this usually  small picture of a shopping trolley, or text stating shopping cart, noting the number of lingerie items you have in the cart. Once in the main menu of the cart, you’ll have the option to edit your selections.

Delete items, change quantity, sizes, and anything else you selected for the lingerie item.

Then you’ll need to fill in your details, address and contact details, and credit card, or payment details. Also, you may be able to select delivery options, express delivery, or normal delivery.

Once all details are filled in, which may be over a few screens, you will be provided will a screen to confirm your details, once confirmed, transaction processed, a screen should shown a transaction reciept or be emailed to you.

If you’ve bought within your country, a few days later, you should receive your sexy lingerie in plain packaging, or with minimal advertising.

Lingerie is usually delivered in plain packaging to protect your privacy. Promotional items, such as catalogues, discount vouchers, and flyers may be part of the package, as well a receipt of purchase, to confirm all lingerie items purchased from the online supplier.

Lingerie categorised as clothing?

§ August 18th, 2011 § Filed under General Comments Off

Lingerie has long been used as sexy undergarments, however in recent times, lingerie can be seen as outerwear.

From celebrities setting trends in using lingerie as either their primary piece of clothing, or in combination over ‘normal clothing’.

To a younger generation experimenting with lingerie type wear at a younger age. Leggings, used to be classed at lingerie, it wasn’t until the fitness craze in the 80′s that leggings
were worn as an everyday outerwear.

Corsets also were worn primary lingerie for centuries, with adaptations for outwear. From video clips, and movies, celebrities and designers have created corsets as outerwear clothing.

Designers have taken insipration from chemises and babydolls for a younger generation of fashion, as they develop their own image.

Many of the same materials are used by traditional outerwear and lingerie, such as silk, cotton, lace, leather, therefore its seems like a natural transition as a new
generation of designers and consumers wanting to a different image.

Lace and silk as sensual materials, thus used in lingerie styles. There are used in outerwear too, however as they are seen as feminine, its use in lingerie far greater.
When these materials are combined with cotton, can easily be transformed into outerwear.

Even underwear is becoming clothing. As ‘boy shorts’ are transformed for a summer or beach look. Cotton and lace trimmings. Jean material also being used. Again, a combination
of traditional outerwear materials and lingerie type materials are used to transform everyday wear to lingerie type clothing.

Expect to see this fashion trend evolve, as celebrities and designers alike try to shock, individualize, and make a trend setting style.

Of course the fashion they wear is over the top, but the fashion that results is very much inspired from this.

Clothing as lingerie, or lingerie as clothing, however you see it, fashion is evolving.
